Wildlife photography in Mana Pools - Zimbabwe

In October I crossed the border into Zimbabwe to visit Mana Pools for the first time in my photography career. It has been so high on my to do list, but for some reason I have never visited this extraordinary park. Somehow other trips and tours have taken up priority.

To say I had high expectations would be a huge understatement! So often when you have an idea in your head for the shots you can get in a destination, you come back feeling rather deflated with the results. Mostly because the epic images you see online are photographers highlights from repeat trips. That being said, on this occasion I was blown away by the photographic potential. I cannot wait to be back there hosting trips next year!

While my focus on this trip was to film a video to showcasing this destination, I did manage to get numerous images that I am thrilled with. Here are a selection of some of the many highlights we had in just six days in Mana Pools!

At the end of the blog is my video for those who are interested.

As mentioned above I am so excited to announce I will be heading trips to Mana Pools from next year for Pangolin Photo Safaris! We have joined forces with African Bush Camps to offer an amazing multi destination photo safari visiting Hwange National Park as well as the iconic Mana Pools.

The 9 day itinerary starts and ends in Victoria Falls, with three nights at the Somalisa Camp in Hwange and another four nights at Nyamatusi in Mana Pools. If you would like to join me on this trip next year or 2025 there is a link to the full itinerary and pricing bellow!
