With South Africa's borders still closed, and the Corona virus still a large part of everyone's life, I have tried to limit my movement as much as possible. The last 8/9 years of my life I have had a rather nomadic lifestyle, as a result this last 6 months have been the longest I have ever stayed in one country, never mind in one town.
As a result I have had to focus much more of my time photographing wildlife around my home. I'm loving trying to capture new and interesting images of "mundane" subjects, often by using architecture to emphasis composition.
Here are a few of my favourite images taken within 1km of my home in the Western Cape, I hope you enjoy!

The photography https://www.pantherplumbing.com/ and storytelling here were stunning. The way the experience was described made it easy to visualize. I recently read a travel-photo feature on a pantherplumbing-based review blog (pantherplumbing), and it complemented this beautifully.
Stunning imagery and https://asaptransportsolutions.com/ storytelling. The photos truly capture the spirit and scale of Masai Mara. I recently read a travel-photography logistics piece on an asaptransportsolutions review blog that made me appreciate the planning behind trips like this even more.
Stunning storytelling and https://theshelfking.com a great sense of place. I enjoyed how the experience was described. It reminded me of travel photography features I’ve come across on theshelfking.
Stunning imagery https://www.ninexpower.com and storytelling. The way you captured the essence of Masai Mara was impressive. I’ve seen travel photography features on ninexpower, and this one truly shines.
Stunning https://www.cygnetliving.com imagery paired with thoughtful commentary. This truly felt immersive. I recently saw a wildlife photography feature on a cygnetliving-related blog that gave me the same feeling.
