    Reflection

    Chobe game reserve, Botswana 2016

At Moringa waterhole in Etosha National Park, a black rhino silently appears out of the darkness. The sun had dropped below the horizon, and only the reflected light from the sky illuminated the water. Like an apparition, the unmistakable shape appeared on the water. The image was later rotated 180 degrees, giving the impression of the reflection being the Rhino itself. This lone form, only a reflection of its real self, is a daunting symbol for the troubled future of the species.
